Roisin Mackenzie is a Scottish contemporary abstract artist based in Stirling, Scotland.
Roisin’s work is inspired by the atmosphere of the coast, rather than the landscape itself. Through layered colour, soft transitions and expansive fields of blue, she creates paintings that evoke stillness, depth and the quiet experience of standing beside the sea. Her work invites the viewer to pause, breathe and become immersed in a moment of calm.
Roisin’s main source of inspiration comes from bodies of water. Beaches in Scotland, tropical beaches and warm sandy shores are always on her mind when she creates.
Roisin’s favourite colour is turquoise, and you will see a lot of this in her paintings. It’s a colour that reminds her of light dnacing on the water, quiet coastal mornings and the ever changing coast line.
Roisin welcomes bespoke painting requests and collaborations.
